We have our third speaker! As an alumni of the Bristol Centre for Functional Nanomaterials, we are excited to be welcoming Dr. James Armstrong back to Bristol.
James received a PhD in Functional Nanomaterials from the University of Bristol in 2015. Later that year, he started a 3-year Arthritis Research UK Fellowship at Imperial College, working with Professor Molly Stevens. His research interest is predominantly in developing new biotechnologies to advance further stem cell based regenerative medicine. In particular, he is interested in using remote manipulation techniques (optical, acoustic, magnetic) and 3D bioprinting strategies as tools for smart cell culture and next-generation tissue engineering.
